A Strategic Performance Dashboard System for the Railway Supply Chain: Leveraging Enterprise Architecture and Big Data Analytics in the Context of Information System 4.0

In the Railway Industry (RI), the conflicting demands and characteristics of a holistic perspective generate data on the strategic performance of the Railway Supply Chain (RSC) using Big Data Analytics (BDA) and Enterprise Architecture (EA) engines within various conceptual frameworks, and their influence on the formulation and execution of strategies for strategic performance management. The study's particular Business Model Transformation (BMT) and EA characteristics will be described as a framework for value-centric decision-making processes that aim to see the big picture when putting in place a strategic performance dashboard system. This study aims to develop a strategic performance dashboard system for RSC excellence in the context of the Information System 4.0 (IS 4.0) information framework. The study will analyse and present the traits of EA and BDA to understand how the Information System revolution (IS 4.0) is changing industries and how leaders and decision-makers in RSC can adapt to this digital shift. © 2025 IEEE.
